"That's me," he confirmed, mouth splitting into a comfortable grin.
"Huh... Funny, that sounds real familiar. You said you were SOLDIER? I could've sworn..."
"What?" The green recruit beside them jumped in, looking back and forth with wide eyes. "Hey, Mr, you worked with Shinra, right? Maybe you knew Zack when he was there, too!"
"Maybe," agreed the man, rubbing his chin. "I donno..." His eyes raked Zack's appearance again, coming to rest on his hair. Zack felt something shift in his stomach, and didn't know why.

Danny never talked about the future more than he absolutely had to. He never brought up who remembered what, and after a while people stopped trying to work out the full story. He'd beaten the badguy. The 'evil jerky future self' was simply gone.
Tucker suspected; it was in the little things, and he more than even Sam knew just how much conviction Danny had in keeping his loved one safe.
Still, he hadn't expected Danny's look when they were playing Never Have I Never, and someone jokingly tossed out 'Never have I killed.'
